A local, explainable text inspection method

RevealText reads the text currently in your browser and derives counts, code points, script signals, normalization checks, UTF-8 bytes, and selected attention items. It does not upload the text for processing.

What the detector can show

The inspector enumerates JavaScript code points and labels known invisible characters, unusual spaces, controls, scripts, graphemes, and normalization status. Convert exposes Unicode escapes, UTF-8 bytes, and JSON-safe output for a second view of the same local input.

Standards and interpretation

Normalization guidance follows UAX #15. For mixed scripts and confusable-looking identifiers, the relevant primary reference is UTS #39 Unicode Security Mechanisms. These references describe mechanisms and considerations; they do not turn a character finding into a verdict.

Boundaries

A suspicious or invisible character is not proof of malicious intent, authorship, or AI generation. Unicode controls and joiners have legitimate uses across languages, typography, and emoji sequences. The tool reports evidence; you decide what to change and validate the result in your own application.
