Unusual spaces are still characters

A no-break space, thin space, figure space, and ordinary space may look similar but behave differently in search, wrapping, and data processing. Inspect their code points before converting them.

When to convert them

For plain text exports and data cleanup, converting unusual spaces to ordinary spaces is often appropriate. Keep no-break spaces when their non-wrapping behavior is intentional.
